Conservative Commentator Cho Gapje: "The Far Right Is a Horsehair Worm, Using the People Power Party as Its Host"

Criticism of Jeon Hangil as an "election fraud conspiracy theorist"

Cho Gapje, CEO of Chogapje.com and a conservative commentator, has once again criticized the leadership of the People Power Party. He argues that they have failed to sever ties with the so-called "Yoon Again" faction, which defends former President Yoon Suk Yeol and the December 3 Martial Law.

In an interview on February 11 with SBS Radio's "Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show," Cho mentioned Jeon Hangil and the People Power Party, then took aim at the party leadership by using the parasitic horsehair worm as a metaphor.

Cho said, "The horsehair worm is a parasite that enters the body of a mantis. Then it grows vigorously inside the mantis. In the end it has to reproduce, so it needs to escape from that body. To escape, it has to kill the mantis. Mantises are afraid of water. But when they are hit with a neurotransmitter, they go crazy and jump into the water. At that moment, the horsehair worm inside the body comes out into the water. That is when it starts to reproduce." He continued, "The far right has made the People Power Party its host. So it is driving the People Power Party crazy."

Cho argued that, at some point, the People Power Party will be dismantled, and the far right will either achieve its intended goal and seize control of the party or be pushed out. He said, "Is the far-right force maybe around 10%? Based on this, they will continue to remain a headache in Korean politics," adding, "Is Jeon Hangil not a liar? Is he not a conspiracy theorist on election fraud? If you listen to people like Yoon Suk Yeol, Jang Donghyuk, and Jeon Hangil, their pattern is the same. In the end, you do not know what they are talking about. They say whatever fits that moment, but there is no logic at all."
