Actor Jung Eunwoo (birth name Jung Dongjin) has passed away. He was 40 years old.
According to the broadcasting industry on the 11th, Jung Eunwoo died that day. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed. The mortuary has been set up in Special Room 2 at the New Goryeo Hospital Funeral Hall in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.
The deceased graduated from the Department of Theater and Film at Dongguk University and began his acting career through the KBS 2TV drama "Sharp 3" in 2006. He later became widely known to the public when he took on a leading role in the 2011 SBS drama "Bride of the Sun."
In particular, he showcased stable acting skills in numerous dramas such as the SBS series "Five Fingers," "One Well-Raised Daughter," and "The Return of Hwang Geumbok." His acting was recognized when he won the New Star Award at the 2012 SBS Drama Awards and the Special Acting Award in the Drama Special category at the 2013 SBS Drama Awards.
His most notable work is considered to be the KBS 2TV weekend drama "My Only One." He played the role of Wang Iluk in the series and received great love from viewers. On the big screen, he appeared in films such as "Bad Boys" and "Miss Change," and the movie "Memoir of a Murderer: Another Story" (2021) became his final work.
The funeral will be held solemnly at noon on the 13th, and the burial site will be Byeokje Crematorium.
