Sancheong-gun Signs AI and Media Education Agreement with Gyeongnam Sicheongja Media Center

Promoting Tailored Education Models
to Respond to Changes in the Digital Environment

Sancheong-gun in Gyeongnam Province announced on February 11 that it has signed a "Business Agreement on Operating AI and Media Education Programs" with the Gyeongnam Sicheongja Media Center.

This agreement was prepared to respond to the rapidly changing digital environment, to enhance residents' capabilities in utilizing AI, and to promote an education model that leads to the creation of local, community-based jobs.

Under the agreement, the Gyeongnam Sicheongja Media Center will provide a pool of professional instructors, as well as educational infrastructure such as free rentals of high-priced equipment including laptops and gimbals needed for operating the programs.

In particular, the agreement is significant in that it aims not merely to run lectures, but to build a "learning-based employment" model. The two institutions plan to operate a "Resident Assistant Instructor Training Course" in the first half of this year, and to deploy those who complete the course as official assistant instructors at education sites in the second half, thereby creating a virtuous cycle in which learning is connected to community contribution and income.

The county will establish a detailed plan for operating the courses and recruit participants in February, and will begin full-scale first-half education from March.

A county official said, "This agreement will allow all residents to learn the latest media technologies easily and enjoyably," adding, "We will build Sancheong as a lifelong learning city where learning leads to practical activities."

Meanwhile, over the past two years, Sancheong-gun and the Gyeongnam Sicheongja Media Center have continued to achieve cooperative results by running programs such as a YouTube creator course, producing more than 40 graduates.
