In particular, Assemblyman Park Jie-won offered encouragement, saying, "I hope that this book's attempt to once again look at the region's future from the sea will serve as a milestone that records Wando's present and prepares for its tomorrow," adding, "I also wish good fortune for the future of Vice Chair Kim Shin, the author."
Vice Chair Kim Shin said, "I was born and raised in Wando and have devoted myself to protecting Wando," adding, "I know the smell of the sea, I understand the changing rhythms of livelihoods with each season, and I have seen more closely than anyone the sighs and laughter exchanged by residents at Wando's markets and ports."
He went on to stress, "For that reason, talking about Wando's future is not just a simple policy explanation for me. It is closer to a 'confession' that I write with the heart of sharing a part of my life with the residents," drawing strong applause from the audience.

Through this book, he presents a concrete blueprint for a sustainable future vision that begins in the seas of Wando in an era of climate crisis, as well as for achieving carbon neutrality. In a brief talk session with the author, he discussed issues such as the Wando commercial district and the problem of population decline.
Meanwhile, Vice Chair Kim, who previously served as a member of the 4th and 5th Wando County Council and as Chair of the Wando County Carbon Neutrality Committee, is expected to embark in earnest on his campaign for Governor of Wando County, starting with this book launch event.
