Samsung Electronics Becomes Korea's First Company With 1,000 Trillion Won Market Cap (Updated) Lee Jaeyong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics. October 30, 2025. Cho Yongjun, Reporter

The market capitalization of Samsung Electronics has surpassed 1,000 trillion won for the first time ever.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 4th, Samsung Electronics' market cap surpassed 1,000 trillion won during intraday trading.

As of 3:03 p.m., the market capitalization of Samsung Electronics stands at 1,000 trillion won. Its share price also reached an all-time high of 169,000 won.

When the 98 trillion won market capitalization of its preferred shares is included, the total market cap comes to 1,098 trillion won. It has become the first company in the history of Korean corporations to surpass 1,000 trillion won in market value.

On this day, the share price of Samsung Electronics showed weakness early in the session, falling more than 3%, but it soon recovered those losses. It was initially affected by the decline in the New York stock market the previous day due to weakened investor sentiment toward artificial intelligence (AI).

Analysts say the share price reflects expectations that the earnings of Samsung Electronics will surge as demand for memory semiconductors soars with the development of the AI industry.
