Apple is boosting developer productivity by supporting "agentic coding," which allows code to be written and even debugged autonomously.
On the 4th, Apple announced that in version 26.3 of its app development tool Xcode, it will support integration with third-party AI coding agents such as Anthropic's "Claude Agent" and OpenAI's "Codex."
Through the new version, which advances the intelligence features of the existing Xcode 26, developers can incorporate advanced reasoning capabilities into their app creation workflows. It can handle the entire development process, including document search, file structure exploration, project configuration updates, as well as error correction and verification.
