Starting on February 4, Gyeonggi Province will provide 10,000 won book purchase coupons through the Gyeonggi Culture Pass app.
The Gyeonggi Culture Pass is a cultural consumption coupon support program promoted by Gyeonggi Province to enhance residents' access to culture in their daily lives. From this year, the annual support limit per person has been raised from 25,000 won to 60,000 won. Books have been newly added as an eligible category for support.
After signing up for the Culture Pass app and completing Gyeonggi Province resident verification, users can apply for a book purchase coupon and receive a 10,000 won coupon. It can be used through next month at Kyobo Book Centre and Aladin online partner stores.
In addition, cultural consumption coupons will be provided for discounted tickets to the musical "Marigold," which will be performed at the small theater of the Gyeonggi Arts Center. The performances will be held twice on Saturday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Seat grades are R seats (30,000 won), S seats (20,000 won), and "10,000-won Happiness" seats (10,000 won).
The discount promotion applies to R seats. Of the 30,000 won ticket price, Gyeonggi Province will subsidize 25,000 won, allowing audiences to enjoy the musical from the best seats for 5,000 won.
A total of 198 discount tickets, 99 per performance, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:00 a.m. on the 4th. The downloaded "Marigold Special Promotion Coupon" can be used when booking tickets for the performance on Ticketlink.
Each person may apply for only one promotion coupon across all performances. Issued coupons are valid until 11:59 p.m. on the 13th.
Further details can be found in the notices section of the Culture Pass app.
Park Laehyuk, Director General of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gyeonggi Province, said, "We plan to continue expanding support so that the Gyeonggi Culture Pass becomes a lifestyle-oriented cultural policy that encompasses both performances and reading," adding, "We hope that people will more fully experience the value of culture in their daily lives through the Culture Pass."
