KSS Line, a shipping company specializing in the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and chemicals, has seen its stock price surge by over 8% after signing a long-term charter contract worth over 800 billion won.
As of 1:27 p.m. on January 31, shares of KSS Line were trading at 9,870 won, up 8.7% (790 won) from the previous day.
On this day, KSS Line announced that it had signed charter contracts for six vessels with BGN Group and one vessel with PTT Public Company Limited (PTT) of Thailand, with a total contract value of 826.4 billion won. This amount is approximately 160% of the company’s consolidated sales in 2024, which stood at 517.9 billion won.
The contract amounts with BGN Group are as follows: 154 billion won (from February 23, 2028 to February 23, 2033), 154.3 billion won (from March 30, 2028 to March 30, 2033), 154.1 billion won (from April 30, 2028 to April 30, 2033), and 154.3 billion won (from October 6, 2028 to October 6, 2033). The contract with PTT is valued at 47.8 billion won (from March 5, 2026 to March 5, 2028).
