The Suncheon Office of Education in South Jeolla Province announced on January 30 that it will hold a vision proclamation ceremony for "NO.1 Suncheon Education" at the Suncheon Bay Ecological Culture Education Center auditorium on February 5.
This event has been organized to respond to the transition to an ultra-wide-area cooperation system following the integration of Jeonnam and Gwangju, and to share the future direction of Suncheon education and its vision for nurturing resident-based talent with the local community.

Approximately 450 people, including Superintendent Kim Daejung, Suncheon Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu, key local figures, education officials, parents, and students, are expected to attend.
On this day, the Suncheon Office of Education will present the vision, "NO.1 Suncheon Education! Suncheon as a Hub for Nurturing Talent in the Unified Megacity," and announce its mid- to long-term educational direction centered on an educational structure where talent developed in the region settles in Suncheon and leads the future.
Suncheon education has established a foundation for educational cooperation by operating a special education development zone in collaboration with local universities, industries, and public institutions, and has promoted creative education and region-specific educational policies utilizing ecological, garden, and cultural assets.
At this vision proclamation ceremony, five specialized educational models will be presented: Suncheon-style K-culture content education, AI medical and wellness education, green bio education, future advanced materials and space industry convergence education, and semiconductor industry-linked education. The office aims to establish a resident-based talent development system that connects education and industry.
Superintendent Heo Donggyun stated, "The integration of Jeonnam and Gwangju is a change that calls for a renewed role for education," adding, "Suncheon education will present an educational model that leads regional growth in the era of ultra-wide-area integration through the nurturing of resident-based talent."
