SimPlatform Expands Presence in Global Industrial AI Market with Infineon PoC

Industrial AI platform company SimPlatform is expanding its presence in the global industrial AI market, leveraging achievements in overseas pilot projects and domestic applications. The company is being recognized for accumulating step-by-step results centered on real industrial sites, thereby making its potential for global expansion more visible.

SimPlatform has advanced its industrial AI platform, which utilizes large-scale data generated at industrial sites to detect equipment anomalies and predict quality. Rather than focusing solely on technical validation, the company has concentrated on securing practical pilot cases that can be applied to actual production environments.

Overseas, at the end of last year, SimPlatform collaborated with the Malaysian government to conduct a semiconductor process AI proof-of-concept (PoC) for local semiconductor manufacturing sites. By analyzing real process data to detect anomalies, the company verified the applicability of its solutions in global manufacturing environments.

Domestically, SimPlatform introduced AI-based equipment anomaly detection and quality anomaly classification functions to certain processes at DB HiTek, achieving improvements in yield and reductions in defect rates. By combining physical data such as pressure, temperature, and voltage with product image data, the company enhanced the sophistication of its analyses and increased on-site usability.

Building on these achievements, SimPlatform recently signed a PoC contract with global semiconductor company Infineon Technologies. This marks the first time a Korean small or medium-sized enterprise is supplying an industrial AI platform to a global semiconductor manufacturing process. Focusing on the GaN MOCVD process, the platform analyzes time-series data to detect equipment anomalies early and aims to improve process stability and the accuracy of quality predictions.

The PoC period is three months, with technical support scheduled to continue until April 2028. This is significant as it is based on a long-term collaboration structure, rather than just a short-term pilot. Industry experts view SimPlatform's progression from overseas pilots to domestic achievements and global supply as a case demonstrating the potential for Korean industrial AI to expand globally.
