Jinju Mayor Kyu-il Cho Leads Safety Campaign at Lotte Mall Ahead of Lunar New Year Holiday

Pre-Holiday Safety Inspections of Multi-Use Facilities

Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province has launched safety inspections of Lotte Mall, a multi-use facility, to ensure that citizens can enjoy a safe Lunar New Year holiday.


Kyu-il Cho, Mayor of Jinju City, visited Lotte Mall, which is expected to be used by many citizens and returning visitors during the holiday period, to conduct safety inspections and lead a safety campaign.

The inspection included Mayor Kyu-il Cho, as well as experts from Jinju Fire Station, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, and Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, who focused on fire, gas, and electrical safety. In particular, they closely examined fire hazards and the safety management status of gas and electrical facilities to ensure the safety of visitors.


In addition, a safety culture campaign was carried out on-site with relevant officials to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of practicing safety in everyday life.


Mayor Kyu-il Cho emphasized, "We will do our utmost to ensure a safe Lunar New Year by thoroughly inspecting multi-use facilities that are heavily used during the holiday. We will continue to pursue field-oriented safety administration that prioritizes the protection of citizens' lives and property."


Meanwhile, Jinju City plans to strengthen pre-holiday inspections of multi-use facilities and various risk factors, and will continue on-site inspections to prevent safety accidents during the Lunar New Year holiday.
