It was belatedly revealed that Min Heejin, former CEO of ADOR, fainted after hearing statements from a member's family, who were identified as being behind the tampering allegations.

The head of an investigative media outlet stated at a press conference in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 28th, "Former CEO Min remained silent for over a year out of concern that the members and their families might be harmed. She fainted after hearing a recording in which the family she wanted to protect laughed off the incident, calling it 'just a trivial episode.'"

In the actual released recording, the uncle of a NewJeans member, Mr. Lee, responded to the question of why Min had remained silent even though she had not engaged in tampering by saying, "It was just a trivial episode, so we let it go." Representatives for Min explained, "She suffered a psychological shock and felt betrayed by those she had tried to protect, even while enduring a nervous breakdown and facing life-threatening situations."

Attorney Kim Sunwoong of Law Firm Jiam explained the reason for holding the press conference after time had passed since the incident in 2024, saying, "Some reports solidified the tampering allegations as fact, and there were limitations since the issue was only addressed in shareholder contract lawsuits. We are now able to clearly identify the forces disrupting the stock market, which is why we are making our position public."

He added that ADOR's recent announcement of contract termination with Danielle and the initiation of a lawsuit was the decisive factor in this decision. Attorney Kim emphasized, "Former CEO Min kept silent, hoping to remain on good terms and support each other's futures, but as ADOR expelled Danielle from the team and even filed a lawsuit, concerns about the potential disbandment of NewJeans grew."

Min's representatives described this press conference as the minimum exercise of her right to defend herself in order to prevent the complete dissolution of the team.
