[Invest&Law] DLA Piper Asia Recruits Former Hyosung Group Head of Legal Affairs Kim Chunsu

Strengthening Expertise in Corporate Litigation and Logistics & Distribution

DLA Piper Asia announced on January 28 that it has recruited lawyer Kim Chunsu (18th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), who previously served as Head of Legal Affairs (Vice President) at Hyosung Group, to strengthen its expertise in corporate litigation as well as logistics and distribution.

Kim began his career as a judge at the Busan District Court in 1992 and went on to serve as a judge at the Seoul High Court, a research judge at the Supreme Court, and a presiding judge at the Seoul Western District Court, gaining extensive experience in trials. After leaving the judiciary in 2010, he worked as a professor at Inha University Law School, nurturing the next generation of legal professionals. From 2017 until recently, he served as Head of Legal Affairs at Hyosung Group, overseeing the group's legal and compliance work.

Kim stated, "By combining precise judgment prediction based on trial experience with my know-how in overseeing legal affairs at a major corporation, I will propose practical business strategies that take into account the realities of corporate management."
