Target Price Raised to 70,000 Won
On January 26, NH Investment & Securities announced that it is maintaining its "Buy" investment opinion on SL Corporation and raising its target price from 54,000 won to 70,000 won.
Researcher Haneul at NH Investment & Securities stated, "SL Corporation is scheduled to supply lamps for the new hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) models that Hyundai Motor Group will launch in the United States," and projected, "The lamp division, which is the company's core business, will see rapid performance growth in North America."
The researcher added, "SL Corporation supplies the leg assembly (lower assembly) for Boston Dynamics' quadruped robot Spot, as well as indicator lamps for the logistics robot Stretch. The company also supplies LIDAR sensor modules and battery pack assemblies (BPA) for Hyundai Motor Robotics Lab's MobED and Plug, and ultimately is responsible for contract manufacturing of robots."
He further predicted, "SL Corporation is expanding its business into the robotics sector, and in the future, it will increase the supply of lamps, LIDAR, and BPA for humanoids."
Researcher Ha noted, "In Korea, performance is expected to be sluggish due to a decrease in the number of business days caused by the October holidays," but explained, "Performance improvement is anticipated in North America (as the base effect from the end of production of the K3 in Mexico is resolved) and in India." For the fourth quarter, sales and operating profit are expected to reach 1.2697 trillion won and 48.2 billion won, up 2.6% and 17.9%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
