[Click e-Stock] "Hyundai Mobis Expected to See Sharp Increase in Atlas-Related Operating Profit"

KB Securities has estimated that Boston Dynamics will achieve sales of 288.3 billion dollars in 2035.

Kang Sungjin, a researcher at KB Securities, stated, "We assume that Boston Dynamics will begin commercializing its humanoid robot, Atlas, at around 324,000 dollars with a three-year durability period in 2030." He explained, "Even when considering operating and maintenance costs based on 24-hour operation, Atlas can replace annual labor costs of 52,000 dollars, making it highly economical."

He added, "Atlas can have its robotic arms, legs, and actuators all replaced within 20 minutes," and continued, "With dual battery packs installed in parallel and self-replacement capability, Atlas can essentially operate 24 hours a day."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "Atlas is designed to carry loads of 50 kilograms and rotate 360 degrees, enabling it to perform continuous tasks faster and more efficiently than humans, even in confined spaces."

Kang analyzed, "More than 30% of Boston Dynamics' sales will be used for actuator purchases," and, "Assuming Hyundai Mobis supplies 80% of these actuators, Hyundai Mobis' actuator sales are estimated at 166 trillion won, with operating profit projected at 13 trillion won."

He stated, "These figures clearly demonstrate Hyundai Mobis' status as a core supplier of humanoid robot and physical AI components."

Kang presented Hyundai Mobis as the top pick for humanoid robot components and raised the target stock price from 500,000 won to 750,000 won.

He continued, "The upward revision of the target price reflects, for the first time, the indirect stake value in Boston Dynamics of 14 trillion won," and emphasized, "As we have now adopted a more realistic assumption for Atlas' sales price, the 2030 operating profit estimate for Hyundai Mobis actuators has also been raised by 248.9 billion won." He predicted, "In the mid to long term, if Boston Dynamics mass-produces 1.5 million units of Atlas in 2035, Hyundai Mobis' operating profit from humanoid-related business will reach 13 trillion won, which is about three times this year's operating profit of 3.8 trillion won."
