Chilgok County to Boost Local Economy with Early Project Orders at the Start of the Year

Resolution for Prompt Execution of Construction Projects
and Integrity Pledge Ceremony Held

On January 22, Chilgok County in North Gyeongsang Province held the "Resolution for Prompt Execution of Construction Projects and Integrity Pledge Ceremony" at the county office auditorium.

This event was organized to promote the swift execution of construction project budgets and to stimulate the local economy through early project orders at the beginning of the year. It also aimed to eradicate external solicitations and improper practices, thereby establishing a fair and trustworthy construction administration.

The event was attended by approximately 120 people, including Chilgok County Governor Kim Jaewook, the Director of the Construction Safety Bureau, heads of relevant departments and offices, town and township chiefs, as well as team leaders and staff responsible for construction projects. The participants resolved to proactively place orders for various construction projects from the start of the year to minimize delays and to ensure planned and responsible execution.

In particular, Chilgok County plans to focus on major construction projects such as roads, rivers, and living social overhead capital (SOC). By placing early orders for projects with completed designs, the county aims to help revive the stagnant local construction industry and create jobs.

During the ceremony, all attendees signed an integrity pledge to ensure fair and transparent construction administration. Through this pledge, they committed to excluding external solicitations, eradicating improper practices, and carrying out their work fairly in accordance with laws and principles.

Kim Jaewook, Governor of Chilgok County, stated, "Early project orders and prompt execution at the beginning of the year are crucial policies for revitalizing the local economy. With this resolution and integrity pledge as a starting point, we will establish a fair and transparent construction administration and earn the trust of our residents."
