Trump: "They couldn't fire a single rocket"
Evidence of electronic warfare weapon use... Security team experienced physical symptoms
US President Donald Trump directly stated that a new type of electronic jamming weapon was used in the operation to arrest former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. This weapon, called the 'Discombobulator,' is believed to have the capability to simultaneously disable enemy communications, radar, and weapon systems. It was reported that, during the operation, the Venezuelan military's missile launch capabilities were effectively neutralized.
According to Yonhap News, citing an interview published by the New York Post on the 24th (local time), President Trump said, "(The Discombobulator) rendered the enemy's equipment inoperable."
He added, "They had Russian and Chinese-made rockets, but they couldn't fire a single one. When we went in, they pressed the buttons, but nothing worked," and continued, "I would like to explain more about this, but I cannot say anything further."

The New York Post reported that Trump's remarks came in response to a question regarding the U.S. government's purchase of pulse energy weapons during the Biden administration. Pulse energy technology is known for emitting high-powered electromagnetic waves in short bursts to disrupt electronic equipment.
Previously, immediately after the operation to arrest Maduro took place in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, on the 3rd, President Trump stated at a press conference, "Most of the lights in Caracas went out due to certain specialized technologies we possess." Dan Kane, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, also hinted that U.S. Cyber Command, Space Command, and Combatant Command had simultaneously neutralized air defense networks and infrastructure by utilizing cyber and electronic warfare capabilities.
There were also reports that Maduro's security team experienced severe physical symptoms during the operation. The New York Post, citing a member of Maduro's security detail, reported that some personnel "collapsed, either bleeding from the nose or coughing up blood." The report further analyzed that these symptoms were similar to the mysterious neurological condition known as 'Havana Syndrome,' which was first reported among U.S. diplomats stationed in Havana, Cuba. Since 2016, cases of Havana Syndrome have been reported in Cuba, China, Europe, and Asia, with victims suffering from headaches, fatigue, dizziness, and cognitive impairment.
After the operation, President Trump announced that the United States had seized seven sanctioned oil tankers carrying Venezuelan crude oil and confiscated the oil. He stated, "The oil is being delivered to refineries in Houston and other regions," and added, "Venezuela will take a share of the profits, and so will we." He further emphasized, "Major oil companies will enter and take a significant amount of oil, and Venezuela will make more money than before."
