She stated, "Through the launch of the Yongsan Cultural Foundation, the creation of Nodeul Island as an arts island, and the preservation of Yongsan Park, we will leap forward as a city where development, culture, and green spaces coexist."
Mayor Park said, "The changes of the past four years are a record of time created together with the residents," adding, "Now, Yongsan will grow beyond a city where life is convenient to become a city connected to the world." She went on to say, "I will work with all of you to make Yongsan a place where tomorrow is even more anticipated than today, so that residents can proudly say, 'I am proud to live in Yongsan.'"
Approximately 1,000 people attended the New Year's meeting, including Seoul Mayor Sehoon Oh, Yongsan District Council Chairman Seongcheol Kim, heads of related organizations, leaders of professional associations, and resident representatives.
