Support Ranging from 2 Million to 9 Million Won per Community
Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on January 23 that it will be recruiting participants for the "2026 Village Community Resident Proposal Contest Project," which aims to solve village issues led by residents and revitalize local communities. Applications will be accepted from January 26 to February 20.
This project is designed to support residents in directly identifying and resolving village issues themselves, thereby fostering a sense of community and driving various changes within the local society.
The contest is divided into "General Contest" and "Planned Contest" categories. The General Contest is further divided into the Seed Stage, Stem Stage, and Fruit Stage, while the Planned Contest is categorized into Apartment Community Revitalization, Village Network, and Back to Village fields.
The total project budget is approximately 150 million won, and the city will provide funding ranging from a minimum of 2 million won to a maximum of 9 million won for each of the 42 communities.
Any group of three to ten or more residents who live in or have their daily lives centered in Hwaseong City is eligible to apply. The required number of members and eligibility criteria vary depending on the contest category.
Communities wishing to participate can submit their application forms and required documents in person to the Hwaseong City Citizen Cooperation Division, by mail, or via the designated staff email. Application forms can be downloaded from the announcement board on the Hwaseong City Hall website.
