Miryang City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on January 23 that the “2026 Miryang City Youth Farmers 4-H Federation Executive Inauguration and Retirement Ceremony” was held at Hotel Arena on the 22nd.

The event was attended by Miryang Mayor Ahn Byunggu, Miryang City Council Chair Heo Hong, Gyeongnam Provincial Assembly members Jang Byungguk and Cho Injong, Miryang City Council Vice Chair Park Jinsu, Gyeongnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services Director Jeong Chansik, Gyeongnam 4-H Federation President Kim Donghyeon, as well as more than 220 members and their families. They gathered to celebrate the strong start of the new executives of the Miryang City Youth Farmers 4-H Federation, who will play a pivotal role in the future of local agriculture.

The new executives inaugurated on this day are President Son Youngrim, Vice Presidents Kim Yeongwon and Jeong Sinhui, Auditors Kim Seonghun and Kim Jinwoo, Secretary General Lee Daye, and Deputy Secretary General Choi Minjun.

In his inaugural address, the newly appointed President Son Youngrim stated, “I will do my utmost to practice the 4-H spirit of Head, Heart, Hands, and Health, and to cultivate the creative capabilities of our members so that the 4-H Federation continues to develop each day.” President Son previously served as Vice President in 2025, focusing on fostering unity and friendship among the members.

Outgoing President Park Gwangjae expressed his gratitude by saying, “I sincerely thank all the members who have been with the Miryang City Youth Farmers 4-H Federation over the past year,” and added, “I will continue to contribute to the ongoing development of the 4-H Federation.”

Mayor Ahn Byunggu remarked, “The Youth Farmers 4-H members are key talents who will lead the sustainable development of agriculture in Miryang,” and pledged, “We will continue to implement policies to ensure the stable settlement and capacity building of young farmers.”
