The Gwangju Jeonnam Item Agricultural Cooperative Operating Council held the first operating council meeting of 2026 at the Jeonnam Headquarters on the 21st, attended by Director Lee Gwangil, Council Chairman Chae Kyuseon, and about 10 heads of item cooperatives. During the meeting, they pledged to actively participate in the Nongsim Cheonsim Movement.
At the meeting, Bae Jeongseop, head of the Jeonnam Southwest Vegetable Agricultural Cooperative, was elected as the new chairman who will lead the council for the next two years. The council also decided to actively promote participation and publicity so that the Nongsim Cheonsim Movement can be felt by both farmers and the public.
Jeonnam Agricultural Cooperative is working hard to revitalize rural areas by setting goals linked to the Nongsim Cheonsim Movement, such as spreading the value of agriculture and rural communities, achieving profitable agriculture, establishing a foundation for sustainable growth, and enhancing the competitiveness of agricultural and livestock cooperatives.
Chairman Chae Kyuseon said, "This year as well, we will strive to become an item cooperative that grows together with farmers who are working hard to produce horticultural crops, which are the food for our people."
Director Lee Gwangil stated, "I would like to thank the heads of the cooperatives for their efforts in carrying out various projects for the members and ensuring sound financial results despite the difficult economic conditions last year. This year as well, all members will do their best, working together with a spirit of unity, to bring smiles to farmers and happiness to the public."
