Yongin City to Recruit Urban Farmers for Citizen Farm from the 3rd to 13th of Next Month

A Total of 815 Teams

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit a total of 815 urban farmer teams to cultivate vegetable gardens at the Yongin Citizen Farm located in Gongse-dong and Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, from the 3rd to the 13th of next month.

The recruitment categories are as follows: 760 teams for general allotment, 40 teams for special allotment, and 15 teams for disability-friendly box gardens.


The special allotment is designated for households with two or more children, multicultural families, households with persons with disabilities, and households of national merit recipients. The disability-friendly box gardens are designed to be easily managed by individuals with limited mobility.


Any citizen registered as a resident in the city is eligible to apply. Applicants can visit the Yongin Citizen Farm office at 554, Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, or apply through the Gyeonggi-do Sharing Service website.


The city will select participants through a random draw and announce the results on the Agricultural Technology Center website on the 23rd of next month. Selected participants must complete a preliminary training and submit a participation agreement.


The allotment fee is 30,000 won, and participants can cultivate the gardens for approximately eight months, from the end of March to the end of November.
