On January 22, Sinan County in South Jeolla Province held a group blood donation event in front of the county office to ensure a stable blood supply and promote a culture of sharing life.
According to the county, this event was organized to mark the New Year, address the issue of blood shortages, and raise awareness about blood donation.
Members of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association Sinan District Council and county public officials participated in the event, conducting a blood donation promotion campaign on their way to work. The participants emphasized the importance of blood donation and the need for voluntary participation, encouraging local residents to take an interest.
The blood donation bus was stationed in the parking lot in front of the Sinan County Public Health Center and operated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with both public officials and local residents taking part in the group donation. The county expects that this event will serve as an opportunity to further spread the culture of blood donation throughout the local community.
Kim Hyunhee, Director of the Public Health Center, stated, "Blood donation is the most direct way to share and save a life," adding, "We will continue to promote life-sharing activities with the participation of both public officials and residents."
