In particular, this public hearing is part of a series of citizen engagement sessions being held across all 22 cities and counties in Jeonnam. Yeosu City is encouraging active citizen participation to ensure that local issues and development directions are thoroughly reflected in the administrative integration discussions.

Prior to the hearing, Yeosu City is closely reviewing the local impact of the administrative integration, 26 proposed special law exceptions, and 32 key projects that the city intends to prioritize in connection with the integration.

Additionally, based on citizens' feedback, Yeosu City plans to work in cooperation with Jeollanam-do Province to ensure that the interests and development of the region are maximally reflected.

A city official stated, "Administrative integration is a major issue that will bring about significant changes in the administrative system, financial structure, and distribution of authority, making citizens' voices more important than ever. We hope many citizens will attend the public hearing and share their valuable opinions."
