Sergeant Jaeho Lee of the Naval Education Command Shares Love with 229 Blood Donations Over 30 Years Sergeant Jaeho Lee of the Naval Education Command Donates Blood Donation Certificate.

Sergeant Lee began donating blood in 1996, three years before enlisting, and has since participated in various types of donations: 21 whole blood donations, 55 plasma donations, 22 platelet donations, and 131 platelet-plasma donations, actively practicing the sharing of life.

His consistent commitment to blood donation was strongly influenced by his family. In 2010, his eldest daughter was cured of acute myeloid leukemia after receiving a bone marrow donation from a stranger. Since then, Sergeant Lee has regularly donated blood as a way to give back to society for the help his family received. This spirit of sharing has also extended to donations: in May 2021, he donated 100 blood donation certificates to the Busan Naeum Pediatric Cancer Center of the Korea Pediatric Leukemia Foundation and 25 certificates to Navy families, delivering a total of 125 certificates to help save precious lives.

Furthermore, Sergeant Lee’s daughter, who has recovered from leukemia, continues the spirit of giving by making regular donations to charity organizations, since she is unable to donate blood herself, thus following in her father's footsteps in practicing love for the community.

Sergeant Jaeho Lee stated, "Blood donation is an act of sharing love that can give hope to those suffering from illness," adding, "I will continue to participate in blood donation and volunteer activities in the future."
