At around 5:34 p.m. on January 21, a fire broke out in an excavator parked at a construction site in Myeongdong, Yangsan City, Gyeongnam.

No casualties were reported, but half of the excavator was burned.
It was determined that the excavator operator had finished work for the day and left the site after turning off the equipment at around 4:55 p.m. that day.
The fire authorities mobilized 25 personnel and 9 pieces of equipment, and extinguished the fire by around 6:30 p.m. that day.
The police and fire authorities suspect that the fire was caused by an electrical factor and are investigating the exact cause and the extent of the damage.
