Ansan City Opens Municipal Daycare Center at Lagoon Interas

Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 22nd that it held a signboard ceremony for the municipal daycare center established at "Lagoon Interas" on Bandal Island in Seonggok-dong, Danwon-gu, on the 21st, and has begun its operation.

The newly opened daycare center covers an area of 732 square meters and is equipped with childcare rooms, playrooms, and meal facilities. It will accommodate up to 70 infants and toddlers, ranging in age from 0 to 5 years old.

"Lagoon Interas," where the daycare center is located, was originally constructed as a residential-type lodging facility but was later converted into a residential officetel. The daycare center was established through a donation by the developer, Sky City Co., Ltd.

Lee Mingun, Mayor of Ansan City, stated, "Lagoon Interas has set a precedent as the first case in the country of changing the use of a residential-type lodging facility," and added, "We will do our utmost to create a city where children can grow up safely and happily."
