Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo District, Visits 'Six-Month Stay' to Support Young Merchants on Red Road

Park Kangsoo, Mayor of Mapo District, announced on the 22nd that he inspected the operation of the 'Six-Month Stay for Young Merchants' program and encouraged young merchants in the Red Road area at 6 p.m. on the 21st.

Before visiting the site, Mayor Park checked for items left on the Red Road sidewalks and inspected the installation status of facilities obstructing pedestrian traffic. He then moved to the operation space of the Six-Month Stay for Young Merchants program.

The 'Six-Month Stay for Young Merchants' is a project designed to allow young people to gain entrepreneurial experience by running a store in an actual commercial district. On January 5, five stores opened on Red Road as part of this initiative. The district provides participating young merchants with education and expert mentoring to enhance their capabilities, reduce the initial burdens of starting a business, and help them accumulate practical experience.

Mayor Park reviewed the operational status of each store and discussed with the young merchants their concerns regarding visitor feedback, publicity, and sales during the operation process. Mayor Park stated, "Opening a store requires courage, and your challenges bring vitality to Red Road. We will continue to support young merchants so you can build experience and grow in a stable environment."
