Lotteria Sells 1 Million "Tongdari Crispy Chicken Burgers" in Two Weeks After Launch

Achieved 210% of Sales Target

Lotteria, the burger franchise brand operated by Lotteria GRS, announced on January 22 that its two juicy "Tongdari Crispy Chicken Burger" varieties, launched on January 6, have surpassed cumulative sales of 1 million units in just two weeks.


Sales reached 500,000 units within the first week, achieving 210% of the initial target. This is a faster pace than last year's popular menu items, the Mozzarella Burger and the Squid Crab Alive Burger.


The two varieties, "Greek Ranch" and "Fire Hot," accounted for 53% and 47% of sales respectively, demonstrating balanced popularity.

This product was created in collaboration with the renowned creator Chimchakman, who has a longstanding relationship with Lotteria, particularly resonating with consumers in their 20s and 30s. The advertising campaign's teaser video reached 2.6 million views on YouTube within four days of its release. The main video, combining views from YouTube and Instagram, garnered 10 million views within two weeks, drawing significant attention. Among the viewers of the advertisement, 81% were in their teens and thirties, and the authentic story shared by Chimchakman and Lotteria strongly resonated with Millennials & Gen Z.


A Lotteria GRS representative stated, "Since its launch, the Tongdari Crispy Chicken Burger has received an enthusiastic response from customers, driving sales within the chicken burger category. By appealing to customers who value delicious enjoyment, it has achieved results beyond expectations and is rapidly expanding its presence in the chicken burger market."
