Kwangdong Pharmaceutical Announces Strengthening of Fair Trade Compliance Program

Kwangdong Pharmaceutical announced on January 22 that it held a "Compliance Program (CP) Enhancement Declaration Ceremony" at its headquarters in the Kwangdong Gwacheon Tower, Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The Compliance Program (CP) is an internal compliance system that companies establish and operate on their own, including education and supervision, to comply with fair trade-related laws and regulations.

At the ceremony, Kwangdong Pharmaceutical expressed its commitment to enhancing organizational transparency and fundamentally strengthening corporate credibility and risk management systems through the reinforcement of the CP. In particular, this year, the company plans to focus on three core initiatives: embedding a culture of fair trade compliance, creating social value through mutual growth with partners, and implementing proactive crisis management based on a continuous monitoring system.

Kwangdong Pharmaceutical has been making continuous efforts to establish an ethical management system. In 2023, the company obtained integrated certification for the Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001) and the Compliance Management System (ISO 37301), officially recognizing its global-level compliance and ethical management framework.

Since introducing the CP, the company has been actively operating practical systems, including establishing a dedicated CP organization, creating and distributing a compliance manual, running employee training programs, and implementing a proactive pre-monitoring system. This year, the existing CP office has been elevated to a division-level organization and placed directly under the CEO, thereby strengthening its independence and execution capabilities.
