Renault Korea Busan Plant Begins Mass Production of Global Flagship Crossover "Filante"

Renault Korea (CEO Nicolas Paris) has begun mass production of its new vehicle, the Filante, at its Busan plant.

On January 21, Renault Korea started mass production of the global flagship crossover, the Renault Filante, at its Busan plant and held a ceremony to commemorate the production of the first vehicle, according to an announcement made on January 22.

At the event, Ki-seok Kim, Head of Manufacturing Division at Renault Korea, and Park Jongkyu, Chairman of the labor union, attended together and delivered encouragement gifts to key employees, as part of a labor-management harmony program.

On the 21st, at the Renault Korea Busan Plant, a ceremony was held to commemorate the production of the first Renault Filante (FILANTE) vehicle, with Kim Kisuk, Head of Manufacturing Division, delivering a greeting.

The Filante is a newly introduced global flagship crossover model from Renault, featuring a design that combines the characteristics of both sedans and SUVs. The illuminated signature Renault logo and grille lighting on the front emphasize the vehicle's sleek appearance, while the interior reflects a premium tech lounge concept. The vehicle is also equipped with integrated headrest "first-class lounge seats."

The powertrain features a hybrid E-Tech system with a maximum output of 250 horsepower. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is standard across all trims, and AI-based connectivity functions are supported through the "openR panoramic screen" that extends to the passenger seat. The Filante also offers up to 34 advanced driving assistance and safety features.

The Filante's retail price ranges from 43,319,000 won to 49,719,000 won, based on the application of the individual consumption tax reduction and eco-friendly vehicle tax benefits. The launch edition "Esprit Alpine 1955," limited to 1,955 units, is priced at 52,189,000 won. However, as the Filante is currently undergoing the government approval process for eco-friendly vehicles, tax benefits will be applied after approval is completed.

The Filante will be produced exclusively at the Busan plant, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin sequentially from March. The Techno trim is expected to be released in the third quarter.
