Monetization Program Introduced for Cafe Leaders
Carrot announced on January 22 that it has launched the 'Cafe' service in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon areas, allowing local neighbors to connect online based on shared interests.
The Carrot Cafe is an online space where neighbors can gather around specific topics to share information. It is organized into a total of 17 specialized categories, including health/diet, gaming, travel, economy/finance, mom cafes, and fan cafes. When creating a cafe, artificial intelligence (AI) automatically recommends the most suitable category based on the cafe name.
Additionally, the platform is designed around post-centric content. The feed structure displays post titles first, allowing users to quickly identify topics of interest at a glance. A dedicated editor has also been introduced to help users write posts more easily.
A monetization program has been prepared for 'Cafe Leaders,' the operators of each cafe. Carrot is offering a promotion for cafe leaders in the metropolitan area, enabling them to earn up to 200,000 won per month based on their cafe's performance. The company plans to gradually expand this program in line with the service's regional growth.
A Carrot representative stated, "We will continue to enhance our community features to better meet user needs, and we plan to expand the Cafe service to even more regions in the future."
