Six Arts Groups Recruiting Members Until February 10
On January 22, Gangdong District in Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soohee) announced that it will be holding a public recruitment for 75 new members of its district-affiliated arts groups until February 10. This recruitment aims to discover talented individuals with artistic capabilities, enhance the competitiveness of the district’s arts organizations, and provide residents with opportunities to enjoy high-quality cultural and artistic experiences.
The recruitment covers six groups with a total of 75 positions: 10 for the Women’s Choir, 7 for the Senior Choir, 30 for the Youth Symphony Orchestra (3 principal positions, 27 general members), 15 for the Korean Traditional Orchestra (1 team leader, 14 members), 11 for the Pungmul Troupe, and 2 for the Gyeonggi Folk Song Ensemble.
Selected members will contribute to revitalizing the local arts and culture scene through a variety of performances, including regular concerts, the Gangdong Artists’ Festival, the Gangdong Prehistoric Culture Festival, and traveling cultural concerts.
Applicants must submit their application forms and relevant documents in person or via email to the Culture and Arts Division of Gangdong District Office (Main Building, 4th floor) within the application period. The selection process consists of a document review and a practical (interview) assessment.
