Third TF Meeting Held on January 21
Hub Opening Planned for First Half of the Year
Recruiting 30 Resident Companies
On January 21, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups held the third meeting of the Global Startup Hub Task Force (TF) to review the progress and operational plans for the Global Startup Hub, which is scheduled to open in the first half of this year.
The Global Startup Hub TF, led by Noh Yongseok, First Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, has been monitoring the progress of hub establishment and program preparations. In this third meeting, the team discussed operational plans for the hub with the Korea Angel Investment Association, which has been selected as the operating organization.

Vice Minister Noh requested thorough preparations to ensure tangible results from the moment the hub opens. He also called for in-depth consideration regarding program operations so that the Korea Angel Investment Association’s private-sector-led management direction and the government’s startup support policies can function organically.
After the meeting, Vice Minister Noh visited the hub construction site located across the street to inspect the major renovations and interior work in progress. He emphasized the importance of prioritizing safety and encouraged on-site personnel to complete the construction swiftly.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to publicly recruit 30 companies out of the approximately 60 dedicated spaces in the Global Startup Hub. Detailed information will be announced on the K-Startup website at the end of this month.
