Uiryeong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on January 21 that it will insert a QR code for the "Local Tax Chatbot Consultation Service" on the front of local tax bills and send them out.
This service utilizes the AI-based "Wetaxbot" to provide 24-hour consultation on major local tax items such as automobile tax, property tax, acquisition tax, and resident tax, as well as daily civil complaints related to local taxes.

When taxpayers scan the QR code on the bill with their smartphones, they can access the chatbot consultation service immediately without any additional steps.
The chatbot guidance QR code is placed on the front of local tax bills and will be applied first to regular tax bills such as license registration tax (January), automobile tax (June and December), property tax (July and September), and resident tax (August).
Uiryeong County plans to improve access to local tax consultation through the introduction of this QR code and gradually expand its non-face-to-face tax administration services.
