Chungkang College of Cultural Industries (President Choi Seongsin) has been selected for the "University-Developed Overseas Volunteer Program" hosted by the Korea University Council for Social Service. The college is systematically expanding the outcomes of its major-linked global activities by operating a continuous overseas volunteer project during both the summer and winter vacation periods.
With the goal of gradually deepening and expanding students' expertise through global volunteer activities, the college conducted an overseas volunteer program focused on environmental and cultural exchange in the Ulaanbaatar area of Mongolia during the summer vacation. During the winter vacation, the college continued its overseas volunteer activities in the Ho Chi Minh City area of Vietnam, centering on education and sharing.
The winter overseas volunteer program in Vietnam provided play and learning support, cultural and arts education centered on art activities, and Korean language education for youth and children with disabilities affected by Agent Orange. In addition, students supported meal services for vulnerable groups, carrying out volunteer work closely connected to the local community.
Students applied their academic knowledge in real-world settings, experiencing the value of education and sharing firsthand. They also engaged in creative activities by documenting their experiences through photos, videos, and stories, further expanding into content creation.
President Choi Seongsin stated, "We will continue to expand student-centered, major-linked overseas exchange programs to create an educational environment where students can broaden their experiences."
Chungkang College of Cultural Industries plans to continue operating major-linked volunteer and international exchange programs, aiming to expand a global education model where students learn, practice, and grow through hands-on experiences.
