At the meeting, Mayor Lee Donghwan first shared his thoughts on the New Year's press conference held last week. He expressed his gratitude to the staff, saying, "The numerous achievements and awards we have received so far are the result of each of you doing your best in your respective positions."

He also emphasized the importance of strengthening interdepartmental collaboration. Mayor Lee stated, "As the administrative environment becomes more complex, the efforts of individual departments alone have their limits," and stressed that business information should be shared from the early stages, with division and department heads taking the lead in driving collaboration.

In particular, regarding issues that require coordination or role adjustment between departments, he urged, "Please realize 'One Team Administration' focused on citizen convenience through proactive coordination and cooperation."

After receiving reports on the status of directive implementation and current issues by each division and department, Mayor Lee said, "If reports are delayed or omitted even for ongoing matters, it becomes difficult to grasp the overall progress," and requested that the status of directive implementation be reported in a timely manner.

He also requested, "For projects that are delayed or facing difficulties, please share comprehensive review results, including reasons and obstacles, and report progress as needed."

Finally, Mayor Lee said, "Even if the budget is allocated and projects are being implemented, if citizens are not informed, the results cannot be felt," and called for stronger public communication regarding the main budget projects for 2026.

He added, "Please inform citizens in a way that is easy to understand about the budget size, implementation schedule, and expected effects, focusing on long-awaited projects, civil complaint resolution projects, and community-oriented projects."

Meanwhile, Goyang City plans to use this executive meeting as an opportunity to more closely monitor the progress of key directives, strengthen responses to current issues, and enhance interdepartmental collaboration, thereby accelerating the creation of tangible administrative outcomes that citizens can experience.
