SNT Energy is targeting the global market by participating in the world's largest exhibition in the power generation sector, held in the United States.

SNT Energy announced on January 21 that it participated in "POWERGEN International 2026," which is being held in San Antonio, Texas, United States, for three days starting January 20, local time.

POWERGEN International is the world's largest power generation exhibition, encompassing LNG power generation as well as nuclear and renewable energy. This year's event features more than 500 companies from over 80 countries, including major power generation companies, global EPC firms, large-scale energy consumers, and equipment manufacturers.

At this exhibition, SNT Energy plans to expand its global partnerships, focusing on HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator), a core facility for LNG combined cycle power plants, and the surface condenser, an auxiliary device for nuclear power generation.

Since 1990, when SNT Energy became the first in Korea to localize the high-frequency fin tube, a key component of HRSG, the company has supplied HRSGs to domestic and overseas markets based on its proprietary design capabilities and manufacturing technology. In 2014, SNT Energy's technological prowess was recognized when it delivered a super module-type HRSG for the Ichthys project in Australia-the first such delivery in Korea. The super module method involves fully assembling the HRSG in advance, transporting it, and then installing it on-site, which helps reduce both construction time and costs.

The company plans to use its plant in Louisiana, United States, established last year, as a base not only for local production of HRSGs and surface condensers but also for expanding into maintenance and after-sales services for existing power plants in the United States. Through these efforts, SNT Energy aims to make power generation a core portfolio alongside its air cooler business, which currently holds the top global market share in the petrochemical equipment sector.

Additionally, SNT Energy intends to adjust its overseas and domestic order strategies, drawing on its experience of failing to secure orders during the overseas HRSG bidding process in 2023, when the dollar-won exchange rate was below 1,300 won and the possibility of exchange rate increases was not fully reflected.

An SNT Energy representative emphasized, "Through this POWERGEN event, we will keep pace with the global power generation industry's response to growing electricity demand in the AI era, and we will actively respond to major HRSG markets in the United States, Japan, Poland, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Middle East, and Central Asia."
