Moalifeplus announced on January 21 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Stone V Studio, a film and VFX production company, for the joint development of live-action-based AI video and simulation technologies. The two companies will work together to expand physical AI technology by combining content and AI infrastructure.
This agreement goes beyond simple content production collaboration. Its purpose is to convert live-action videos into data assets that can be used for AI training, and to accumulate these assets as a technology foundation that can be expanded into simulation, digital twin, and physical AI fields.
Through this partnership, Moalifeplus plans to leverage its AI data servers and micro AI data center infrastructure to establish an environment for processing, analyzing, and storing large-scale live-action video data. The company will also work on advancing AI video and simulation technologies that reflect physical elements such as real-world spaces, movements, and objects.
Stone V Studio, a subsidiary of Big Stone Pictures led by director Kim Hanmin-famous for the Yi Sun-sin trilogy including "War of the Arrows" and "The Admiral: Roaring Currents"-will provide live-action video resources suitable for AI training and simulation, based on its extensive expertise in live-action VFX and high-level video production for films, dramas, and other content. The company will also review the applicability of these resources in actual production settings.
In the field of AI video production, works by director Kim Hanmin, which are based on real-world physical laws, are drawing attention as they provide a high-density live-action content environment well-suited for verifying physical AI technologies.
Notably, director Kim Hanmin's works are acclaimed for their realistic depiction of group battle movements, human motion, and the physical interactions of spaces and objects. These live-action videos are seen as high-value-added visual data that can be utilized not only as content but also for AI simulation and learning.
A Moalifeplus representative stated, "This agreement marks a significant starting point for expanding AI data infrastructure technology into the fields of content and simulation. We plan to gradually accumulate foundational technologies that can be extended to physical AI, focusing on live-action video data."
A Stone V Studio representative also commented, "The combination of live-action video and AI technology will play an important role in the future of physical AI and digital twin fields. We will continue our collaboration with a focus on technical feasibility, and plan to incorporate these AI technologies into director Kim Hanmin's next film, 'Sword.'"
This partnership is seen as a strategic move by Moalifeplus to explore business expansion beyond its existing role as an AI infrastructure technology company, into content, simulation, and next-generation AI application fields. The industry is expected to closely watch the outcomes of this research and the possibility of further collaboration.
