VD Robotics Secures Exclusive Domestic Distribution of Outdoor Performance Wearable 'HyperShell'

Introducing a New Category in the Wearable Robotics Market

VD Robotics announced on January 21 that it has signed an exclusive domestic distribution agreement with HyperShell, a consumer exoskeleton (wearable robotics) company.

Through this agreement, VD Robotics has secured exclusive domestic distribution rights for all HyperShell products. Leveraging its distribution, operation, and maintenance capabilities accumulated in the service robot market, VD Robotics will oversee HyperShell’s marketing, sales, and distribution in Korea. With this partnership, HyperShell is entering the Korean market for the first time. VD Robotics plans to expand its business into the wearable robotics sector, just as it pioneered the serving robot and cleaning robot markets.

HyperShell is a global robotics company based in Shenzhen, China, and is recognized as a global leader in the consumer exoskeleton (wearable robotics) field. HyperShell’s products are wearable robotic devices that use artificial intelligence (AI) to augment and control power in sync with the user’s movements at the necessary moments. They assist users in moving faster and farther on their own initiative. Notably, while the domestic wearable market has been primarily focused on medical and rehabilitation purposes, HyperShell introduces a new category aimed at outdoor activities and everyday use.

VD Robotics plans to introduce the entire HyperShell lineup to the Korean market. The products will be officially released next month, and domestic supply will be expanded through various distribution channels. VD Robotics CEO Ham Pansik stated, “HyperShell is a brand that introduces a new category of outdoor performance wearables. VD Robotics will accurately convey HyperShell’s differentiated value to Korean consumers and create various touchpoints to broaden the base of the wearable market.”
