Combined Spare Change from Salaries and Company Matching Donations

Home&Shopping announced on January 21 that it had donated approximately 12 million won, combining the spare change collected from employee salaries with an equal amount contributed by the company.

The donation ceremony took place on January 20 at the Community Chest of Korea, Sarangui Yeolmae, located in Jung-gu, Seoul. A total of approximately 12 million won, consisting of the spare change donations voluntarily gathered by Home&Shopping employees and the company’s matching funds, was delivered.

Home&Shopping’s salary spare change donation program, which began in 2021, collects amounts less than 10,000 won from employees’ monthly salaries and donates them. In support of the employees’ spirit of sharing, Home&Shopping also donates an equal amount through a matching grant system, thereby contributing to the realization of social value. The donations delivered this time will be used by Sarangui Yeolmae to support neighbors in need and social welfare sites.

A Home&Shopping representative stated, “The small contributions of our employees have come together to create meaningful sharing, and it is significant that the company could participate as well,” adding, “We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility through various social contribution activities involving both our employees and the company.”
