Dobong District in Seoul, led by Mayor Oh Eon-seok, has opened the 'Seoul Digital Donghaeng Plaza Dobong Center,' a digital complex cultural space for seniors.

The district announced on January 21 that it held the opening ceremony for the Seoul Digital Donghaeng Plaza Dobong Center on January 20. The center, located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the Dobong Community Center, covers an area of 502 square meters. It is the only facility of its kind in the northeastern region of Seoul.

The district successfully attracted the Seoul Digital Donghaeng Plaza by actively participating in a Seoul Metropolitan Government project last year. The center is equipped with more than 50 advanced digital devices for seniors.

The third floor offers digital education programs tailored to different skill levels, while the fourth floor serves as a space for experiencing and utilizing devices such as a robot coffee machine, an artificial intelligence (AI) Go robot, and a screen park golf simulator.

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Any resident interested in digital education and experiences is welcome to use the facility freely.

More than 100 people attended the opening ceremony, including Dobong District Mayor Oh Eon-seok, local members of the National Assembly, city and district councilors, Seoul city officials, and residents.

Dobong District Mayor Oh Eon-seok stated, "The Seoul Digital Donghaeng Plaza Dobong Center is a space where seniors can overcome their fear of using digital devices and develop their own digital skills," adding, "We will continue to provide attentive digital welfare services tailored to the needs of seniors."
