Controls Both Temperature and Humidity at Once... LG Launches 2026 Whisen Objet Collection Air Conditioners

First-Ever Introduction of 'AI Cold-Free' Feature
Enhanced Dehumidification with 'Two-Stage Heat Exchanger'
'AI Sleep' Maintains a Comfortable Environment During Sleep

LG Electronics is introducing its 2026 Whisen air conditioner models equipped with the 'AI Cold-Free' feature, which simultaneously controls both temperature and humidity.

On January 22, LG Electronics will launch the 2026 models of the 'LG Whisen Objet Collection Tower I' and 'LG Whisen Objet Collection View I Pro' air conditioners. These new products offer advanced cooling functions such as AI Cold-Free, which customizes operation to the desired temperature and humidity by controlling both at once, and AI Wind, which detects the customer's location and the state of the space to deliver air tailored to the situation. Additional convenience features include AI voice recognition and AI Sleep, providing personalized cooling solutions that customers can experience in their daily lives.

The 2026 LG Whisen Objet Collection features the innovative AI Cold-Free, a new cooling concept that keeps the room comfortable without feeling cold even after long periods of use. LG Electronics developed this new feature in response to customer feedback seeking cool yet dry air, allowing temperature to be maintained while reducing humidity. Until now, it has been difficult for air conditioners to finely adjust both temperature and humidity simultaneously. Prolonged cooling operation tends to increase indoor humidity, while continuous dehumidification can lower the temperature more than necessary. When the customer presses the AI Cold-Free button, the AI begins to control humidity without making the air excessively cold. After cooling the indoor air, it maintains the temperature while managing humidity levels.

Traditional dehumidification functions in air conditioners often caused unwanted coldness, as humid air passing through a cold heat exchanger would lose moisture and further lower the temperature. LG Electronics addressed this discomfort with its new 'two-stage heat exchanger technology.' After the air is cooled and dehumidified by passing through a cold heat exchanger, it is then passed through a warm heat exchanger to maintain the appropriate temperature, discharging only dehumidified air. This allows customers to enjoy a comfortable, dry breeze without feeling cold, even after extended use of the air conditioner.

The AI Wind feature, which uses radar sensors to detect the customer's location, usage patterns, and the state of the space to deliver air accordingly, has become even more convenient. When it is hot, AI Wind provides strong airflow; once the space is cool, it switches to single-sided or soft airflow to maintain comfort while reducing unnecessary power consumption.

The AI Sleep feature in the 2026 LG Whisen Objet Collection learns the customer's preferred sleep environment and patterns to provide personalized care. The air conditioner minimizes stimuli that could disturb sleep and maintains a comfortable environment to help ensure restful sleep.

AI voice recognition, which understands customer intent, has become even smarter. The AI, based on ChatGPT, not only interprets the customer's spoken intentions to operate the unit but also recommends suitable operation modes for the indoor environment, provides information on usage and dehumidification, and even shares schedules or search results, engaging in everyday conversation with the customer.

When the customer is away, the radar sensor detects their absence and activates the 'Away Energy Saving' mode, reducing energy consumption by up to 77%. Additionally, the 'Pet Care' feature ensures pets stay cool according to preset routines, even during brief absences.

Upgraded cleanliness management features include the 'Filter Clean Bot,' which automatically cleans fine dust from the filter every week, and 'AI Heat Exchanger Cleaning,' where the AI analyzes data from humidity and temperature sensors to detect contamination and automatically clean the heat exchanger. These features manage every airflow path, from the intake filter to the outlet vent, for enhanced air quality.

The enlarged display, now 6.8 inches compared to the previous 4.3 inches, shows not only the current temperature but also humidity and dehumidification levels, making it easier to check essential information at a glance.

The LG Whisen Objet Collection Tower air conditioners will be released sequentially starting January 22. Customers can choose between the Tower 1 (9 Series) with the Objet Collection design and the View 1 Pro (6 Series) with the View Case design. For a standard 59.5m² (18-pyeong) 2-in-1 system, the Tower 1 is priced between 5.45 million and 5.97 million won, while the View 1 Pro ranges from 4.2 million to 4.82 million won. Subscription plans start at 93,900 won per month (based on a six-year Light Plus plan).

Both purchasers and subscribers of the new products will receive up to 250,000 won in cashback. For subscriptions, which feature professional care by experts, an additional free piping support promotion is offered for new product subscribers.

Jang Seokhoon, head of the Residential Air Conditioner (RAC) business unit at LG Electronics’ Eco Solution (ES) Division, said, "With features like AI Cold-Free that allow simultaneous control of temperature and humidity, the 2026 Whisen Objet Collection will continue to lead the premium AI air conditioner market by providing customers with tangible, AI-driven convenience."
