Guri City Council Holds Meeting with Tongjang Association: "All-Out Efforts to Resolve Local Issues"

On January 20, the Guri City Council (Chairman Shin Donghwa) held a meeting with the Guri City Tongjang Association (President Lee Sunja) in the multi-room of the Guri City Council. The meeting was attended by Chairman Shin Donghwa, other members of the Guri City Council, and Tongjangs affiliated with the Guri City Tongjang Association.

This meeting was organized to mark the New Year, allowing the Guri City Council and the Tongjang Association to exchange greetings, share local issues, and discuss possible solutions.

During the meeting, various suggestions were raised regarding key issues of interest to local residents, including: route adjustments for City Bus No. 51 and Village Bus No. 6-1 to address public transportation blind spots; measures and cooperation plans for the GTX-B train to stop at Galmae Station; and accelerating the progress of reconstruction and redevelopment projects within the city. In-depth discussions were held to seek solutions to these issues.

Chairman Shin Donghwa stated, "Thanks to the Tongjangs, who look after areas that administrative services may not reach, Guri has become a warmer city. Since the beginning of the 9th Council, we have institutionalized regular meetings with organizations such as the Tongjang Association. I hope that these channels of communication will become a tradition of the Council and serve as a foundation for realizing grassroots democracy."
