Kwon Kibum, Chairman of Dongkook Pharmaceutical, Appointed as Next Chairman of Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association

First Board of Directors Meeting for 2026 Held on January 20

On January 20, the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association announced that it had held its first board of directors meeting for 2026 and appointed Kwon Kibum, Chairman of Dongkook Pharmaceutical, as the 17th chairman. His term will last for two years.

Born in 1967, Chairman Kwon graduated from the Department of Social Welfare at Yonsei University and completed a master's program in business administration at New York University (NYU). He joined Dongkook Pharmaceutical in 1994, served as Director of Planning and CEO, and was appointed Chairman in 2022. Within the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association, he has served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Biopharmaceuticals Committee, among other roles. He is currently serving as Vice Chairman.

The inauguration ceremony for incoming Chairman Kwon and outgoing Chairman Yoon Woongseop will take place at the 81st regular general meeting of the association, scheduled for February 24.

Incoming Chairman Kwon stated, "As chairman, I will faithfully fulfill my role for the advancement of the pharmaceutical and bio-pharma industry."
