NCSoft stated, "We have identified that the accused repeatedly used illegal programs not permitted in 'Aion 2,' disrupting normal game services and operations through activities such as account sales and in-game currency distribution, and damaging the in-game economic system." The company added, "We have determined that these actions interfere not only with regular users' gameplay but also with the overall game service and operations."

Previously, on December 12 of last year, NCSoft also filed a criminal complaint against five users for using illegal macro programs.

Since the launch of 'Aion 2,' NCSoft has taken disciplinary action against 727,748 accounts violating operational policies over a total of 65 instances in an effort to foster a healthy gaming ecosystem. The company has also shared the results of its response to illegal macro programs and plans for additional measures through live broadcasts and official announcements, while consistently communicating its firm stance on legal action.

NCSoft plans to continue its strong response by continuously monitoring and analyzing accounts suspected of using illegal programs and taking immediate legal action against such accounts and users.

NCSoft stated, "Strict action against illegal programs such as macros is essential to prevent user harm and maintain a healthy gaming ecosystem," adding, "We will unwaveringly continue to enforce strong legal measures and strict operational policies to eradicate illegal programs."
