Recently, as the "Dubai Chewy Cookie" (Dujjonku) has become popular, similar products have appeared on the market, and the shape of Paris Baguette's new product, the "Berry Jjondeuk Ball," has sparked controversy. This is due to its resemblance to female genitalia.

On January 20, photos of the "Berry Jjondeuk Ball" and user reviews from store visits spread rapidly across various online communities. On this day, a user from the male-dominated online community "FM Korea" (Fmkorea) posted a photo as proof of purchase, saying, "I stopped by Paris Baguette to buy some bread for my wife, and I couldn't believe my eyes. I bought it as if I was possessed."

The "Berry Jjondeuk Ball" is a round bread made by filling dough with strawberry cream cheese and baking it. The controversial appearance results from how much the strawberry cream cheese seeps out through the outer opening during baking. It is one of the 15 products in Paris Baguette's "Berry Bomb Festa" lineup, which features a variety of strawberry-based breads.

Online users reacted by saying, "It's not just people with dirty minds-most people would think that," "It will probably be discontinued," "Even as a man, I think it looks unappealing," "What were they thinking when they made this?" "Are the different shapes just up to the baker's preference?" and "Isn't it too explicit?" Hundreds of adult-themed joke comments followed due to the product's appearance.

Another online community user uploaded a photo of the production manual distributed by Paris Baguette headquarters and explained, "You score it and then bake it. (The photos causing controversy) look different from the actual finished product. This was not the company's intention."

In fact, the promotional poster for the Berry Jjondeuk Ball posted on Paris Baguette's official Instagram shows the product with a normal baked appearance. However, it also states, "The above image is a staged image and may differ from the actual product."

Regarding the product, Paris Baguette stated that customers can "enjoy a soft and chewy texture with the flavor of strawberry combined with strawberry cream cheese."
