Korea Tourism Organization Secures Amway China Corporate Meeting with 14,000 Participants

The Korea Tourism Organization announced on January 20 that it has secured a corporate meeting for Amway China, which will bring 14,000 members and employees to Korea.

Amway China is scheduled to hold a corporate meeting in Korea next spring, which will also serve as an incentive tour. This will be the first time in 13 years that Amway China has held a corporate meeting in Korea since 2014.

The Korea Tourism Organization explained that after conducting a presentation in Shanghai, China, in February last year, it actively promoted Korea’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) infrastructure suitable for large-scale corporate meetings. These efforts led to the successful attraction of this event. In particular, from January 3, the organization invited an Amway advance inspection team to Korea for one week, proposed customized support policies for Amway, and highlighted last year’s cases of global companies visiting Korea.

Moon Moon, Head of Event Planning at Amway, who participated in the advance inspection, stated, “Korea not only has excellent MICE facilities, but also offers a variety of K-culture experiences, making it the optimal destination where all participants can be satisfied. The Korea Tourism Organization’s tailored support played a crucial role in our decision to visit Korea.”

Incentive tour groups, including those for corporate meetings, spend approximately 1.83 times more per person than general group tourists, and their visits to various regions and participation in diverse experience programs significantly contribute to revitalizing local economies.

Song Eun-kyung, Head of MICE Marketing at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, “This achievement reaffirms the competitiveness of Korea’s MICE tourism. Going forward, we will continue to expand the attraction of large groups by offering strategic support policies tailored to corporate characteristics and participant-specific content.”
