Dotmill Co., Ltd., a content-based spatial solutions company, announced on January 20 that it will unveil an immersive media complex cultural space for all generations in Ganghwado, Incheon, this coming March.
The new themed facility currently in preparation aims to go beyond a simple exhibition space, presenting a new spatial model where Millennials & Gen Z and older generations can coexist through advanced AI technology. Notably, Lee Donghui, an AI researcher at Unbound Lab and widely known as the "younger brother of Cha Eunwoo," is participating as the digital experience (DX) planner, a key role in the spatial design, raising expectations for the project's technological sophistication.
Researcher Lee Donghui not only planned the content based on trend analysis but also directly designed the core system of the space, the "AI Creative UX (User Experience)" solution. This solution will provide personalized immersive experiences by analyzing visitors' ages and preferences in real time and delivering optimized visual art tailored to each individual.
This space, which combines the natural scenery of Ganghwado with Dotmill's media technology and AI solutions, is characterized by an enhanced food and beverage (F&B) lineup. Moving away from the operation methods of previous facilities that focused mainly on exhibitions, the new approach integrates F&B facilities organically to increase visitors' length of stay and revisit rates, thereby diversifying the revenue structure. Through this, Dotmill aims to establish the space as a new tourism hub and landmark in the northwestern metropolitan area.
Jung Haeun, CEO of Dotmill, who is currently leading the overall project, is focusing on building a unique business model by combining immersive content with advanced spatial operation strategies.
A Dotmill representative stated, "This Ganghwado project is a new attempt that combines content planning capabilities with artificial intelligence technology and F&B operation know-how," adding, "It will not only stabilize the revenue structure but also serve as an opportunity to revitalize local tourism and expand the scope of the content industry."
Meanwhile, starting with the Ganghwado project, Dotmill plans to further advance its entire space business, including F&B, MD, and brand collaborations, and will continue to expand its derivative content business based on its proprietary intellectual property (IP).
