Hana Technology, a company specializing in secondary battery assembly and activation process equipment, announced on January 20 that it has established a subsidiary, Hana Celltron, to fully launch its charging and discharging business utilizing 'Pulse' technology.


Pulse technology is an advanced method that, unlike the conventional constant current-constant voltage (CC-CV) approach, periodically adjusts the current flow to minimize physical and chemical stress inside the battery. This technology is expected to deliver significant achievements, including: ▲ a dramatic reduction in charging and discharging time, ▲ enhanced safety by suppressing dendrite formation inside the battery, and ▲ an extended battery cycle life.


Hana Celltron stated that it will not remain merely a hardware company manufacturing and supplying charging and discharging equipment. Instead, it plans to provide a 'total solution' by combining optimal charging and discharging algorithms with data-driven process management software, enabling customers to produce higher-quality batteries more efficiently.


A Hana Celltron representative expressed, "The establishment and launch of this subsidiary marks the starting point where Hana Technology's accumulated engineering capabilities and next-generation pulse technology come together to set a new standard for battery manufacturing," adding, "We aim to become the most trusted solution partner for global battery manufacturers seeking process innovation."
